Golden Grasses - Dark Skies

acrylic & canvas on board
15" x 17"

Folded into a swale, adrift in the vastness of the high plains is one of few places where an earth can cry with golden light while, over the arch of a world, an infinite sky stands looming, a dark wall of storm.  It’s a power-filled flip of light and dark, which sets the relationship of vastness before infinity into sharp relief.  Dwarfed by a vast lifting land that stretching limitless over the ridge makes a compelling case that our insignificance cannot be overestimated.  It’s good to know and feel one’s place.
